“I have no worries about the outcome of this case, because I know that I have not committed a crime”. This was stated on the show “Wake up” Lena Borislavova. Since yesterday she has been accused of a document crime in the case with the co-chairman of the PP - Kiril Petkov and his departure from the association “Let's Save Coral”. The Sofia District Prosecutor's Office announced that the investigation against her has been concluded. According to the prosecution, she knew that she was using documents with a forged signature.
“I was at the SDVR yesterday, where I got acquainted with the materials on the case. I was impressed that my colleagues from SANS have thoroughly investigated the case. There is a thick folder dedicated entirely to their views on the case", said Borislavova.
"And yesterday I joked on social networks that I am clearly a person of greater operational and public interest than Pepi Euroto. On Thursday, in the plenary hall, I asked the Ministry of Interior and the services whether, after data from Pepi Euroto's personal archive, which contains illegal SRCs, were leaked to a person outside the system, protocols from pre-trial and judicial proceedings, with instructions on what to do about them, whether the Ministry of Interior has conducted an operation on the topic, whether they have decided to create a working group to investigate? The answer was that they do not know about such documents, they have not received them and if someone does not bring them to them, they will not take up the matter”, commented Borislavova. She explained that in the courtroom it became clear that the court had decided to drop the international wanted list for Petyo Petrov.
“I can't explain this”, commented Borislavova. According to her, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs refused to familiarize himself with the documents. “He knows that he is going to a hearing on this case, but he says that he has not heard of such documents”, said Borislavova. She believes that this is why he should be asked to resign.
On her case, she again said that she was not worried. “I cannot comment on the case itself, because this is the advice of my lawyer. Every word I say outside the courtroom, with this prosecutor's office, police and people ready to do anything to attack their political opponents, can be used – I don't want to allow the worst, but fabrication of evidence, finding witnesses willing to testify”, Borislavova also said.
On the topic of “Regulators”, Borislavova rejected doubts expressed by Yavor Bozhankov about a deal between the ruling party and the PP-DB. “We want fair competitions for appointments, not fixed matches. What is currently reaching us is worrying. For example, Radomir Cholakov – for Ombudsman, or Kiril Ananiev – in the Financial Supervision Commission. I don't know if these will be the nominations, but this is information that is coming from many places”, Borislavova said.
Regarding the SJC, she said that they will support only those candidates who meet the criteria. “Politicians have no place in the judicial system. "There should be no political appointments in the Supreme Judicial Council, as in other regulators," Borislavova said.
She said she does not support Desislava Atanasova for the Venice Commission.
