The Supreme Administrative Court yesterday decided to return the case against the election of Vasil Terziev as mayor of Sofia for a new consideration at first instance with unclear and largely invalid arguments. The expertise of the vote count requested by Vanya Grigorova once again proved Terziev's lead of over 5,000 votes, with the experts establishing even more votes in his favor. This is recalled by "We continue the change" and also commented on the decision of the Supreme Administrative Court:
The refusal to decide the case on the merits in the face of clear evidence is, for us, a denial of justice and an attempt to keep the mayor of Sofia in a state of uncertainty.
This is another episode in the attempts to remove several mayors of the PP-DB-SS. The removal of Georgi Kuzmov as mayor of the “Oborishte“ district is already a fact. The case with the district mayor of the “Iskar“ municipality is also pending – Yasen Rusev, again due to a lack of will to finally resolve the issue there.
An interpretative decision is currently expected on the case involving mayors as partners in commercial companies, because the Supreme Administrative Court clearly does not respect the rules of commercial law.
We call on the relevant institutions to work in the name of the law and the citizens of Sofia, and not for dissatisfied, losing parties or candidates.
