The lowest temperature in Montana this winter of minus 13.6 degrees was measured this morning in the village of Dolno Tserovene, Yakimovo municipality, the meteorological station in Montana reported to BTA.

In the resort town of Varshets this morning, minus 11 degrees were measured, and in Montana - minus 9.2 degrees.

Due to the low temperatures, small rivers and dams in the region began to freeze, there is no ice on large water bodies - Danube River and Ogosta Dam.

With the morning temperatures in the period February 8-13, winter reminds us of itself, but from Thursday we expect warming to begin and maximum temperatures of 17-22 degrees in the second half of February, Lenochka Angelova, head of the meteorological station, told BTA. She recalled that in the last two years the highest temperatures in winter were recorded in the region - 28 degrees in the shade in January 2024 and the heaviest rainfall in June 2023, when the monthly norm for the amount of rain was exceeded seven times.
