Kaloyan Pargov: The current situation requires the BSP chairman to work 24/7 for the party - 1

The current situation requires the BSP chairman to work 24/7 for the party. Imagine a person who is involved in a ministry or the European Parliament, with all the trips and commitments, to combine them with full-fledged work in the party. Difficult. Carrying two or three watermelons under one arm and juggling them is an overwhelming task, especially when there are difficult tasks to solve.

This is what Kaloyan Pargov said – candidate for chairman of the BSP, in front of like-minded people from the Kyustendil region, for which he was responsible when he was a member of the party's Executive Bureau.

„Where Pargov is, there is victory!“, said the great football star of „Marek“ Sasho Pargov. He attended the event together with his son Ivaylo Pargov, who is now the president of the football club.

According to Kaloyan Pargov the first thing that the new chairman of the BSP should do is to restore dialogue and communication in the party.

„It is crucial, especially when we are in such a crisis situation, that everyone is equally and promptly informed. If I become chairman, the first thing next week is to call all the regional chairmen and discuss the situation and set tasks. This is teamwork“, he explained.

In his words, by September, the BSP should have a new program.

„I have prepared my program and it is called „Justice in Action“. It has two parts. One is organizational, and the other part is purely ideological and programmatic, and it is related to my belief that since we are the Bulgarian Socialist Party and since the world is changing and transforming, it is right for us to go back to where we started from and talk about more socialism in a modern form“, believes the candidate for BSP chairman.

“After Trump came, the world is moving towards a different, different model and order. My view is that we must emphasize the nation-state, Bulgaria, Bulgarian interests and national sovereignty – something that makes us feel proud to be Bulgarians“, Pargov pointed out and added that values such as peace, justice, solidarity, freedom, as well as family, are things that should be present in the party-political vocabulary of the BSP, both inside and outside the party, justifying some or other policies that they defend publicly.

He stated that the BSP has largely de-intellectualized and recalled that over the years, the party's parliamentary representation has included personalities such as Valeri Petrov, Yordan Radichkov, Andrey Pantev, Lyuben Kornezov and Stefan Danailov.

Returning this intellectual potential is a key task. It will support the work of the parliamentary group, ministers and representatives in local government. This way, we will be able to solve problems and tasks together. This was the strength of the BSP and it should be like this again,“ Kaloyan Pargov was categorical.
