The section of the Sub-Balkan road Sofia-Burgas in the area of the Sliven district “Rechitsa“ remains closed after the accident with a victim that occurred on Tuesday evening. We recall that at around 18:10 in a collision between a truck and a passenger car, the driver of the car died.
The truck was moving in the direction of Gurkovo, when in the area of the Sliven district the car entered the oncoming lane and hit the truck head-on. As a result, the driver of the car died on the spot.
The road section has been closed for over half a day now. “The passenger car has been removed from the road, but the truck is loaded with wood and cannot be pulled“, the director of the Regional Road Administration, Eng. Mitko Ivanov, told the Bulgarian National Radio. He did not commit to a timeframe for when the motion would be released.
