We welcome the actions of the Bulgarian Prime Minister in support of Ukraine and in support of the European position, however, we have two major concerns. The first is that he has once again been blamed by Mr. Borisov, in connection with his statements about Macron and Orban. Does this mean that Rosen Zhelyazkov does not enjoy the support of his own party. Second - we welcome Mr. Zhelyazkov's position, but it is not right that the Council of Ministers does not have one. We insist on a consolidated position of the Council of Ministers and the majority in the plenary hall, possibly with the support of the opposition, which would clarify the Bulgarian position regarding Ukraine“. This was told to journalists in parliament by PP-DB MP Yordan Ivanov.
“We will submit a request for a hearing of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, so that they can come to the plenary hall and explain what position the cabinet will defend regarding Ukraine“, added PP-DB MP Kristina Petkova.
She indicated that the proposal would be for the hearing to take place next week on Wednesday, as the first item on the parliament's agenda.
