President Rumen Radev highlighted the prospects for the further expansion of the economic partnership between Bulgaria and Germany at meetings with business representatives in Munich, where he is visiting to participate in the Munich Security Conference, the press center of the presidency reported.
During a conversation with representatives of the Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade, in which Foreign Minister Georg Georgiev also participated, the head of state emphasized the positive trend in economic and investment Bulgarian-German cooperation, an indicator of which is the sustainable trade exchange, which for a consecutive year reaches 12 billion. euros per year with a positive balance for our country.
Rumen Radev highly appreciated the investments from Germany in Bulgaria both for the fact that they contribute to the opening of new jobs in the real economy and production, but also for the implementation of new business and management models for the development of relations between science and education with the economy.
The automotive sector, the production of machinery and equipment, electronics and high technologies, including the creation of software, were identified as particularly promising areas of the bilateral partnership. The common position was that the relations between Bulgaria and Germany, built and developing on the basis of mutual trust, are of common interest and strengthen the potential for overcoming economic crises.
In Munich, President Radev also held a meeting with the Chairman of the Federal Association of the German Security and Defense Industry, Armin Paperger, during which he expressed our country's interest in joint cooperation in this area.
