The government will wait for the European inflation data, which will be released on February 24, to know "whether to push" with the budget, and Finance Minister Temenuzhka Petkova will receive a negative sign for the eurozone on Monday.
This was predicted to the Bulgarian National Radio by Georgi Kadiev, former Deputy Minister of Finance, leader of the "Normal State" party.
The government does not want us to enter the eurozone, he believes. Reminding that we do not meet the inflation criteria of 2018, Kadiev noted that the eurozone is being used as a kind of "soother" and we are talking about a window through which we will jump, and you don't enter the eurozone through a window.
The natural way out of a currency board is to enter the eurozone, but after deliberately pushing down inflation, upon entering the eurozone it explodes - this happened in Croatia, the same will happen with us, explained Kadiev, who is categorical that inflation data is being manipulated "brutally".
"The price of fax machines has fallen. If they also include black-and-white TVs, they will probably lead us to deflation."
"If it is not a political decision, I am 100% convinced that we will not enter the eurozone", the financier emphasized.
"Right now, even if we are on the verge of inflation, even if we are on the verge of the budget deficit, which I also do not believe - our deficit on a cash basis is 5%, who are we lying to?"
The current leadership of the BSP took the worst things from the other parties and forgot the best from their history. The BSP already looks like a frail old woman of more than 100 years old, who has been riding on muscle in recent years, but her strength is already leaving her, Georgi Kadiev, who has not been a member of the party since 2015, takes stock.
He hopes that at the BSP congress this weekend "there will be scandals, because this means that after all some immune forces have remained in this party".
Kadiev is "very surprised" that people who were Kornelia Ninova's deputies, organizational secretaries and members of the Executive Bureau, are now criticizing those times, as if they had nothing to do with it. Ninova's alternative cannot be "people who held her purse", he said.
"The chairman of the BSP will be whoever Peevski and Borisov want. "Both of them," Kadiev expressed a categorical position and added that Peevski is grabbing more and more political territories, while a bunch of left-wing politicians are deliberately leaving themselves to him.
Peevski is starting to seize territory on the one hand from the left, raising left-wing issues, on the other - from – from – from – from – from – from – from – from – from – raising the anti-Soros theme, Kadiev pointed out. According to him, the voter is starting to look around to see who is the strong one, who can fulfill what he promises; it is important to win over the periphery, and that is exactly what Peevski is trying to do.
The Bulgarian reactors for "Belene" are being sold at the price we paid for them, and they are already worth 4 times more. Why can't Bulgaria install Russian reactors, since it is not at war with Russia, and Ukraine can, commented Georgi Kadiev on the show – Politically Incorrect". According to him, this could be one of the BSP's red lines in government, but:
"I don't know of any red lines of the BSP and the United Left at the moment."
"Europe cannot react because it is very weak. It will tolerate Trump's behavior. We are weak militarily, we are weak commercially – with some tariffs America can destroy Europe's economy in several sectors. Maybe Europe should try to make a strategic alliance with China. Trump punishes all his allies and makes deals with all our opponents, without caring what we think. Trump has the behavior of a class bully who has his own truth and imposes it on everyone else – if you want", Georgi Kadiev also said.
Regarding the war in Ukraine, he expects that after "the new sheriff is Trump", at the meeting in Saudi Arabia Putin and Trump will come to an agreement, without Zelensky and without Europe.
"They stopped talking about Euro-Atlanticism, because there is no such thing. Currently, both Trump and Musk are destroying Britain on all fronts..."
