A chairman of the BSP will be elected and there is no danger of the procedure being blocked. It matters who will be the chairman, but the party must destroy the very serious hierarchy that has been created, in which the leader says what should happen and the others adjust their behavior to this will.
This was stated to BNT by Alexander Simov from the BSP.
According to him, the BSP is a collective party and intra-party discussion has always been important and the internal fronts in the left are closed.
"So that one person cannot impose his will with an iron fist", added Alexander Simov.
He characterized the BSP's entry into the country's governance as assuming responsibility on the part of the party, with the risk of being "punished by their voters".
"It is better for the BSP, it is better for the parties to pay the price for these mistakes, than to constantly blame them on the voters. It depends on us what we will set as a program and as goals in the budget", added Alexander Simov.
It is categorical that more money should be set aside for social policy in Budget 2025.
"It has not been officially discussed, but I see no reason for the BSP not to support the candidacy of Maya Manolova for Ombudsman", said Alexander Simov and added that the BSP's participation in the appointments to the regulators has not been discussed.
