The air ambulance transported a patient from the Markudzhik ski slope in Borovets to a metropolitan hospital due to suspected stroke.
This was confirmed to bTV by the Mountain Rescue Service in Borovets.
Shortly after 4 p.m. today, the medical helicopter landed near the St. Anna University Hospital in Sofia.
Earlier today, our air ambulance tried to reach Vidin to transport victims of the serious accident between a bus and a truck near the town of Dunavtsi.
However, due to bad weather, it had to turn back. Four people died and seven were injured in the serious accident on the main road E-79.
Adverse weather conditions and poor visibility forced the emergency mission of the medical helicopter to be terminated. Thus, shortly after Vratsa, the helicopter headed in the opposite direction to Sofia.
A few hours later, the air ambulance responded to the signal in Borovets, according to the flight tracking platform Flightradar24.
