The revenue part of the budget is overstretched. A miracle must happen for it to be implemented. This was said in the program “Crossroads” by the executive director of AIKB Dobrin Ivanov. He added that on Monday there will be a meeting to discuss the budget plan and there they will make proposals for easing the framework. One of them will be for salaries in defense and security, social security contributions to be included in the gross salary. Ivanov noted that the topic has been discussed with the police unions and recalled that at the moment, insurance in this area is paid by the state.
Ivanov said that it is already a practice for them to receive the budget shortly before the discussion and that it has not met their expectations. He believes that the revenue part is completely unrealistic, and the expenses are huge. “The deficit in the pension system is the increase in the minimum pension, which does not correspond to the person's insurance contribution. There is no justice”, said the executive director of AIKB.
He is categorical that there has been no reform that would reduce the expense part. According to him, the tax amnesty is missing in the current budget. “The planned revenue from VAT is growing by over 33%. Raising the rates is not enough for such growth. The motivation is probably in possible measures to lighten the economy,” Ivanov also said.
He added that they will refrain from supporting, but if some of their proposals are accepted, they will reconsider their position.
