National Social Insurance Institute gives 24 billion leva for pensions - 1

The National Social Insurance Institute will have 27 billion leva at its disposal this year. 11 billion of them are state subsidies. The institute will spend all the funds received, with 24 out of 27 billion being for pensions, reports Nova TV.

The “Podkrepa” coalition agrees with the increase in pension contributions for the richest, but does not support the freezing of maternity and the minimum social security income until 2028.

They ask the Bulgarian Industrial Association to maintain the insurance contributions and cash benefits as last year. But they do not agree with the increase in the maximum income and the raising of the minimum wage.

“During the Supervisory Board of the National Social Security Institute, I supported the draft budget with all the comments we have. Most of all, based on the fact that we must have a regular budget. It is important, since the level of pensions is maintained. People should have some predictability and certainty about what will happen. Pensions should not be used for speculation and to play on people's fears. This is our main motive. Naturally, there are parameters inside that we do not support and we will state this opinion both to the National Social Security Council and to the parliament“, said the Deputy Chairman of the BIA of the Supervisory Board of the National Social Security Institute, Maria Mincheva.
