The behavior of "Vazrazhdane" yesterday is unacceptable for a European and democratic country - the one we want to be and the one we have fought to be. This behavior is an abuse of human rights. People have the right to protest, but they have the right to protest peacefully. They cannot gain any rights from violating the laws.
This was commented on by the MP from GERB-SDF and Chairman of the Joint Governance Council Kostadin Angelov to BNT.
For him, this shows some weakness, because Bulgarian citizens have assessed where "Vazrazhdane" stands on the political scene:
"And then, when you want to implement a policy or impose an opinion, you have to go to elections, convince all voters, win these elections convincingly and only then try to determine the direction. In the other case, things happen that are not normal for democracy - either we are Europe, or we are Africa, or we are a country, or we are a jungle - we cannot allow this to happen," Angelov emphasized.
In his words, one of the commitments of this administration is for Bulgaria to become part of the eurozone:
"In 2020, Mr. Borisov's third government put Bulgaria in the waiting room of the eurozone. There are the white countries, there are the rules, there is everything that is sustainable as economies and as a banking system. We have to go there if we want to bring that security to both people and business."
According to him, when there is a parliamentary majority, there is also a very bright presence. When there is a coalition government with three ruling parties and a fourth - supporting one, then things are completely different.
"The management program is 100 pages and the result of the actions of the entire government. It was discussed at the Joint Management Council and now must be adopted by the government and presented to the public," explained Kostadin Angelov.
Regarding the election of regulators, Angelov indicated that they expect each parliamentaryly represented party to nominate its candidates according to the rules.
