Journalist Kiril Borisov: Many political and economic factors are supposedly for the eurozone, but are actually against - 1

„The police did what was possible. They should have expected such a provocation, because they have many times stated that they would hold such protests and excesses”. This is how crime journalist Kiril Borisov from „24 Chasa” commented to NOVA on the protest of members and supporters of „Vazrazhdane” on Saturday.

„Vazrazhdane” is protesting against the eurozone and the introduction of the euro for political reasons. But there are many political and economic factors that state that they are for the eurozone, but are actually against it. Many of the corrupt practices will not be able to be carried out when we are in the eurozone. „Vazrazhdane” It is possible that such factors in the economy and politics will stimulate them to prevent what cannot be prevented. That is where we are headed, the question is when,” said Kiril Borisov.

According to him, what happened yesterday could not have been prevented. “Sooner or later it would have happened,” said Borisov. “They often accuse the police of police violence. In my opinion, they were too careful. In addition, there were MPs among the protesters who have immunity. Perhaps they were hesitant to take tougher measures. I expect it to happen again. However, I do not expect it to be in the National Assembly. But they have already announced that they will sabotage this parliament, they want the government to resign. In other words, they will play a destructive role,” Borisov commented.

“This is hooliganism with particular audacity and cynicism.” Possibly, if they are convicted, they may go to prison, but I don't believe it. In “Vazrazhdane” there are already two MPs indicted for hooligan acts. They have already exposed the one who was with the hammer and the mask – MP Ivaylo Chorlov”, the journalist also commented.

He expects that the immunities of the two MPs who were the focus of the police yesterday will soon be requested. “What the effect of this will be – will be debatable. This would consolidate even more voters around this party”, Borisov believes.

”Vazrazhdane” claim that police officers have injured other police officers. They also say that while their sympathizers were returning to the country, they were stopped by the police to ask for their personal data. “It is not ruled out. In a situation of mass excess, it is difficult to say who hit whom, who injured whom. An ugly scene that should not be repeated. But in Europe and in the world there is such a wind of change that will bring more such events”, Borisov said.

He also commented on the new spray that is being sold on the Internet, which claims that if we spray it in our mouths, the police will not catch us if we have used drugs. “There are no such substances. The traffic police's breathalyzers are too sensitive, they even pick up drugs”, Borisov said.
