I do not think there is tension in the coalition. This was stated in the program "Face to Face" on bTV by the secretary of the PG of "There is such a people" and chairwoman of the energy committee in parliament, Pavela Mitova, after earlier today DPS-DPS demanded the replacement of Kostadin Angelov from GERB-SDF as chairwoman of the coalition council.
The coalition was created between three entities - GERB-SDF, "BSP-United Left" and "There is such a people". I do not see tension between them. There is another political formation - DPS-DPS, which supports the majority. At the previous meeting of the Joint Management Council, which took place last week, I did not notice any tension in either party. I think this is some kind of emotional outburst that will quickly be extinguished next week, said Mitova.
From the very beginning, the colleagues from DPS - DPS stated that they did not support the government in exchange for posts. There is a signed agreement and DPS - DPS have agreed to its terms. There are no commitments there to give posts to DPS - DPS from the ruling majority, she noted.
The secretary of the PG of "There is such a people" also commented on the issue of money for Bulgaria under the Recovery and Sustainability Plan. We recall that today Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev announced that the second payment under the PVU worth 653 million. euro will be refused, but from his second statement it became clear that the money is not irretrievably lost.
It is not about three laws, as claimed by "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria", it is about unrealized projects. The laws are ready. The anti-corruption law has already been adopted, the rules for electing members of the anti-corruption commission have not been adopted, because "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" left the commission meeting last week. The authors of the judicial reform themselves are the main opponents of the judicial reform, Mitova said.
If we manage to implement the reforms for the second payment, we need to have a conversation with the European Commission to see if we can save some of the projects and, accordingly, some of the funds, she added.
It became clear from her words that "There are such people" supports Bulgaria's entry into the eurozone.
In response to a question, Pavela Mitova said that the biggest problem facing the government is the budget.
