MP for PVU: Finally, the ruling party admitted its sins - 1

The situation with the money under the Recovery Plan is the result of months and years of neglect of commitments that Bulgaria has made. He stated this in "More from the Day" on BNT, PP-DB MP and former Minister of Economy Bogdan Bogdanov.

"Finally, the ruling party admitted their sins, what we had been saying for months and years - that there were three laws and one roadmap, which were sitting with their chairmen of committees in the National Assembly, were not accepted and we were saying that we would start losing money on the PVP".

Bogdanov recalled that Kiril Petkov's government agreed on the plan with the EC in May 2022.

"11.7 billion leva were agreed. We made sure that the initial commitments, for which Bulgaria received the first tranche, were fulfilled. 2023-2024 we had a management program and the laws on the PVP were on the front page".

The MP is categorical that the then government fulfilled 85% of the commitments, and the remaining 15% were a commitment of the parliament.

"The laws were submitted to the parliament by our cabinet and were blocked for months by GERB committees", Bogdanov said.

He commented that in the event of a new procedure for adopting the laws, the PP-DB would support them, "if they are submitted in the way they are currently approved".

Regarding the budget - Bogdanov said that they would support it, "if there are no obvious nonsense inside", but in the current version there were "serious nonsense".

"The Eurozone is an extremely important priority for Bulgaria, but this does not mean that we should "we are ruining the state with policies that will benefit certain oligarchic circles. The money should go to business, to young families, to science and innovation."
