BSP: Rosen Karadimov receives support from business and trade unions for the CPC  - 1

Five of the six organizations in the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation support the candidacy of Assoc. Prof. Rosen Karadimov for Chairman of the Commission for the Protection of Competition, the BSP press center announced.

„The candidacy of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rosen Karadimov, nominated for Chairman of the Commission for the Protection of Competition by the parliamentary group of „BSP-United Left“, receives the widest possible institutional and public support. So far, seven business organizations, trade unions and associations from key economic sectors have announced that they stand categorically behind his candidacy. Thus, Assoc. Karadimov receives the support of the organizations and associations whose activities are the basis of the country's economic development and are directly related to the work of the Antimonopoly Commission, the party added.

Support has been expressed by the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria, the Bulgarian Industrial Chamber, the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the two national trade unions - the Confederation of Bulgarian Trade Unions and Confederations of Trade Unions and Confederations of Trade Unions "Podkrepa". "These are five of the six social partners of the government in the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation." The Association "Bulgarian Defense Industry - Acad. Stefan Vodenicharov", which unites the leading enterprises in the industry, as well as the largest livestock association in our country, also expressed its positive opinion on the candidacy of Assoc. The basis for the broad support of employers, unions and associations is their joint work with Assoc. Prof. Karadimov in key areas for the development of a number of economic sectors, the statement emphasizes.

According to what was stated, among the motives of all organizations are the long-standing undisputed academic experience of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Karadimov as a habilitated lecturer at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski“ with 34 years of experience.

“All opinions categorically point out as the main advantage of Assoc. Prof. Karadimov's candidacy and his solid management experience in key positions - as a member of the people's parliament in the Grand National Assembly and in the 36th National Assembly, as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Bulgarian Development Bank and Acting Minister of Innovation and Growth. Employers and unions highlight their active joint work with Assoc. Prof. Karadimov within the framework of the Advisory Council to the Bulgarian Development Bank and his significant contribution to the new strategy of the financial institution, which has turned the bank into a driver for strategic sectors and policies for the state. The organizations also motivate their support with the efforts of Assoc. Prof. Karadimov as an official minister to prioritize the policy of reindustrialization of Bulgaria,“ notes the BSP.
