Prof. Mihail Konstantinov warned in front of "Panorama" on BNT that doing a full count of the election results is absolute stupidity, which is not practiced in any normal country.
"This is so for the simple reason that every time a different result is obtained. Five parties filed complaints with the Constitutional Court - they are the members of the SIC, which they accused of irregularities and falsification. The members of the SIC are proposals of the parties, as are the members of both the REC and the SIC", he added.
We recall that on February 27 this year The Constitutional Court assigned the Central Election Commission to identify the following circumstances at the national level:
- To establish the total number of paper ballots and ballots from machine voting found in the ballot boxes. Also, the number of invalid votes from paper ballots found in the ballot boxes; the number of actual votes cast for candidate lists of parties, coalitions and independent candidates and the number of actual votes for “I do not support anyone”.
Then, from a ruling published on the court's website, it became clear that "the distribution of actual votes by candidate lists of parties, coalitions and independent candidates must be established; four percent of the actual votes received from voting in the country and abroad excluding the votes "I do not support anyone".
Subsequently, the CEC forwarded the case to the "Information Service".
Mikhail Konstantinov explained that after the count, two results could occur: either the parliament remains as it is or the majority of the ruling party falls from 126 to 121 deputies.
"GERB is a party accustomed to governing in a minority. There is nothing terrible about governing with 121 deputies", the mathematician added.
"If we want a normal electoral process, let's remove the machines", he also believes.
