Rumen Petkov: Ukraine has been turned into the capital of death, we no longer have a United Europe - 1

In front of the media in Stara Zagora, ABV leader Rumen Petkov sharply criticized the role of the European Union, NATO and Western leaders in the conflict in Ukraine. He stated that Ukraine has been turned into the “capital of death“, and its President Volodymyr Zelensky - into the “executive director of the largest cemetery“, the ABV press center reports.

According to Petkov, the board of directors of this “cemetery project“ includes Joe Biden, Ursula von der Leyen, Jens Stoltenberg and other Western politicians who, with their “ugly and irresponsible behavior“ have led to the conflict with Russia. He stressed that NATO and the EU have tightened the noose around Ukraine, which has led to catastrophic consequences for the country and the region.

“We must admit that we no longer have a United Europe. The European Union, which once defended peace, diplomacy and conflict-free solutions, has today lost these basic values,” said Petkov.

In his speech, he also criticized the behavior of European leaders, who, in his words, “are running” to London and Washington without having a unified position on the conflict. “The EU has found itself defenseless, brought to moral and political ruin by this insane leadership of the European Commission“, he added.

Petkov pointed out that the sanctions policy and military support for Ukraine are leading to a severe socio-economic crisis in Europe. According to him, the European Union is no longer a desirable interlocutor on the international stage. “Is China looking for us for talks? India? Russia? No one considers the EU a factor“, he noted.

In conclusion, Rumen Petkov insisted on an urgent meeting of the political council of the BSP-UNITED LEFT coalition, at which the Bulgarian government should adopt a clear position in support of a diplomatic solution and an end to military actions.

“For Bulgaria to have a future, we must oppose this policy of war. Otherwise, we will become part of a collapsing union, led by political figures that no one wants“, Petkov concluded.
