Kiril Petkov: Our country cannot stoop, but must stand very firmly on the European position - 1

Bulgaria must be at the center of Europe, it must take the European position, it cannot be on the periphery. This is no longer just an economic goal for Bulgaria in the eurozone, but is now a goal for the country's security. This was stated by the co-chairman of "We continue the change" Kiril Petkov on the sidelines of the parliament, reported by "Focus".

"Bulgaria must be present at all talks on how the next European security is formed", he was categorical.

Petkov also said that our country cannot stoop, but must stand "very firmly on the European position" and to be with the European leaders.

The former prime minister said that the government should clearly state that it is in the position of the Western European countries and seek contact with them.

Kiril Petkov also commented on the requested resignation of the Speaker of the Parliament Natalia Kiselova: "For me, it is important to be sure that we have a speaker who holds his positions and is not influenced by the screams of Jabba. In my opinion, this distracts from the important topics of the day. They are the budget and what is happening in the CPC".

The co-chair of the PP said that it is unacceptable for Rosen Karadimov to be elected to become the chairman of the CPC: "This is an absurd nomination, because this is Peevski's man. In the next 7 years, determining 30 billion leva per year in public procurement by Peevski's man is unacceptable".

The representatives of the PP-DB will not support the 2025 budget at first reading in the hall, it became clear from Petkov's statement.

"This budget has been made highly corrupt, with a great advantage for people from the Ministry of Interior to receive their large salaries. There is not enough money for young families, nor for health", he also said.
