The expectations are that the budget will improve a little and not deteriorate further between the first and second reading. It includes unrealistic revenues that cannot be collected. This was said in the program "Denyat na Zievo" on NOVA NEWS by the chairman of AIKB Vasil Velev, who commented on the topic of the budget for 2025.
"If we keep this pace, we will have a 17 billion deficit at the end of the year. This comes from a lot of administrative expenses, the increase in salaries in the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Defense, which are increasing by 50%, the increase in pensions. Salaries in the public sector have increased by 32% with inflation at 25%, and state salaries are 26% higher than in the private sector. This is extremely unfair to the people who fill the budget. 2 million people who work in the private sector are having their incomes sucked out of them, which are poured into unreformed sectors and budget salaries. We insist that salaries in the administration should only increase in the event of layoffs. Some 20% layoffs in the administration are absolutely necessary. Budget salaries are growing at the expense of the state's indebtedness," he added.
"There are no reforms in this budget. It will turn out that pensioners will receive the same pensions. This is not fair, because someone who has insured twice as much as another, who has hidden income, should receive twice as much pension, but this will not happen. "There are still Covid supplements to pensions, and Covid is long gone," he gave an example.
