Dimitar Manolov: Money for rearmament will eat up those for social spending. This rattling of weapons is especially dangerous

"Half of the funds for paying pensions come from taxes, not from social security contributions. About ten years ago, the social security system was deprived of ¼ of its own revenues by reducing social security contributions. Part of the money collected for pensions does not go there, but to private pension funds," emphasized the leader of the Podkrepa Coalition

Dimitar Manolov: Money for rearmament will eat up those for social spending. This rattling of weapons is especially dangerous - 1

Money for rearmament will eat up those for social spending - education, healthcare, capital expenditures and investments. This position was expressed in the studio of “Denyat na Zievo” by the president of the Podkrepa Coalition Dimitar Manolov in connection with the request of the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen to rearm Europe.
„The request will affect our budget. Instead of some funds going to meet public needs, they will be directed to weapons. This rattling of weapons is particularly dangerous”, he added. „The external debt is at bearable levels”, Manolov emphasized.
„The prices of clinical pathways have nothing to do with reality. By reality I mean the costs incurred for certain activities”, specified the president of the CT „Podkrepa”.

„If the price of clinical pathways is reduced, theoretically, the money of doctors could also be reduced. "I hope it doesn't come to that, because it will put the entire system at risk," Manolov said. "The worst option is for patients to pay for their treatments. I assume another way out will be found," he added.

„Half of the funds for paying pensions come from taxes, not from social security contributions. About ten years ago, the social security system was deprived of ¼ of its own revenues by reducing social security contributions. Part of the money collected for pensions does not go there, but to private pension funds," the leader of the "Podkrepa" coalition emphasized.

„The purpose of the pension is to help with the life of the pensioner. The state system pays orphans', widows' and disabled pensions. "In private pension funds, such payments are not present," he specified. "We are ready to analyze each system," Manolov concluded.
