“It is very likely that there will be early elections if “Democracy, Rights and Freedoms” - MRF withdraws its support”. This is the opinion of political scientist Assoc. Prof. Milen Lyubenov, expressed in “The Live Day” on NOVA NEWS. He justified it with the fact that a new situation may arise in parliament and the possible entry of “Majesty” will put the “fragile minority government” to the test.
Lyubenov sees a chance for the coalition's survival in the fragmented opposition, where, in his words, even initiating a petition for a vote of no confidence is difficult to implement. But he believes that if for some reason the Speaker of the National Assembly falls, the coalition will be blown up.
„It was known from the beginning that the regulators would be the apple of discord. I do not think that GERB will seek support from Peevski and it is more likely to go to elections”, added Assoc. Prof. Lyubenov.
Regarding global challenges, the political scientist is of the opinion that the situation is complicated for France and Germany. He believes that we are far from peace and far from decisions to send peacekeeping troops.
