PP-DB MP Ivaylo Mirchev accused the "Vazrazhdane" party that by submitting over 38 thousand proposals for changes in the budget between the first and second reading, they aim to sabotage the country's admission to the Eurozone.
"If Bulgaria enters the eurozone, it will be very difficult to return it to the Russian sphere of influence, no matter how much Putin wants it. Enormous efforts are being made to thwart our efforts. Today, the Russian proxies from Vazrazhdane submitted 38,235 proposals for the budget between the first and second readings to the parliament. The goal is clear - for the budget not to be adopted on time, for us to be blocked in our application for the eurozone and ultimately for us not to receive a date for accession," he wrote on his Facebook profile, adding:
"This will not happen and we will oppose the anti-Bulgarian actions of the fascist kopecks. Our national interest is clear - for Bulgaria to adopt the euro on January 1, 2026, and we will make every effort to make this happen."
