Military personnel with a C-27J "Spartan" aircraft from the 16th Air Base performed today, March 14, a task of providing air transport from Sofia to Hamburg, Federal Republic of Germany, for a child in need of an emergency transplant.
The plane took off at 9.52 a.m. from "Vasil Levski" airport - Sofia. On board with the little patient were his parents, a medical team from the "Prof. Ivan Mitev" Children's Hospital and a medical resuscitation nurse from the Military Medical Academy **** and a medical resuscitation nurse from the Military Medical Academy.
The crew consisting of: commander - captain Yordan Dimitrov, deputy commander Major Nikolay Georgiev, flight engineer captain Andrey Andreev and assistant senior sergeant Bilyana Polyankova, performed the task of ensuring stable air transport precisely and with particular diligence.
At 17.51 the plane landed back at the airport “Vasil Levski“ - Sofia.
