We have always talked about the fairness of the vote in the last 35 years. At least now it has become clear that these elections were problematic. The mandates of 16 members of parliament were terminated, and the votes of 780 Bulgarian citizens were not counted. This was stated by Ivan Takov from the BSP in the program “Panorama” on BNT.
Certainly, if measures are not taken, these will not be the last elections in which we will talk about the fairness of the vote, he added.
It is important to say that the lack of ballots in the submitted bags is an extremely big problem, and suddenly the thesis has been raised again that this can only be resolved through machine voting. This is extremely untrue and is the reason for the case that we are conducting together with Vanya Grigorova. In the case of machine voting, we are talking about missing flash drives, explained Takov.
According to him, the problem is systemic, it is not in the machine and the paper, but in the way elections are held.
“If serious changes are not made in the way elections are held and in the Electoral Code, but not on the spur of the moment, but after a broad public discussion and a serious political consensus in parliament, we will continue to talk about the fairness of the vote”, warned the representative of the left.
