Mehmed Dikme: Bulgaria needs a strong and united Movement for Rights and Freedoms - 1

Bulgaria needs a strong and united Movement for Rights and Freedoms. This is the only way for the Movement for Rights and Freedoms to enter government and provide stability to the state.

This is what former Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Mehmed Dikme said to FOCUS.

He called on the two factions of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms to make compromises and concessions in the name of unification.

"The future of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms is certainly better than what it is at the moment. The two factions must go their separate ways and find a common path towards unification and a return to normality, but without Ahmed Dogan," Dikme emphasized.

According to him, the main reason for the split in the party is precisely Ahmed Dogan.

"People who are connected to the former "State Security" must withdraw and no longer have influence in the mixed regions. What Peevski said about the "deribei" is absolutely true. We raised and created them ourselves, and they became not only "sourdough makers", but in certain regions they determine the fate of the people," commented the former Minister of Agriculture.

This is precisely the reason he left the party back in 2003, recalled Dikme.

"What is happening in the DPS-DPS is not from now, but from 20 years ago. What is happening now has been accumulated over the years," he added.
