The construction of a 60 km section between the city of Byala and Veliko Tarnovo is being prepared with an estimated value of the order of nearly 3 billion leva. This is 50 million leva per kilometer. We believe that this is a scandalous order. Even if we assume that there is inflation. 1.5 billion leva have been invested in a corrupt way for the construction of the road section or 2.5 million in a corruption allowance per km. This was stated on the sidelines of the National Assembly by Andrey Tsekov from PP-DB, reported NOVINI.BG.
A reasonable approach for the government is to prepare only the design and then, based on the quantitative calculations, to commission its construction. This resembles the corruption schemes of Borisov-Peevski from their previous three cabinets, Tsekov is categorical.
Kiril Petkov stated that for less than a kilometer of this allowance, the Shipka monument could have been reconstructed, we could have 25 new gardens in Sofia for less than 8 km of this allowance. We recall that yesterday the "Road Infrastructure" Agency announced a public tender for the selection of a contractor for the preparation of a technical design and construction of the third section of the "Ruse - Veliko Tarnovo" motorway between Byala and Veliko Tarnovo. The total length of the section is nearly 60 km. And the estimated value of the tender was announced - 2.967 billion leva. excluding VAT, and the expected completion time is 1770 calendar days.
