The increase in salaries in the defense is very delayed. As is the one in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. A young police officer receives about 1,500 leva in basic salary when he starts work. It is obvious that this is an abnormally low salary. Therefore, this increase of about 40 to 50 percent, which is not the same everywhere, is normal to be applied. 2,300 leva is not a high salary. This was stated on the air of BNT by the Sofia councilor from the "BSP for Bulgaria" Vanya Grigorova, quoted by "Focus". She added that there are huge sectors in which there is no increase or it is negligible.
Vanya Grigorova emphasized that she expects inflation to rise, and the government to use the current inflation to apply for membership in the eurozone. She also commented that we should not ignore what is happening in the EU. According to her, the request to allocate 800 billion euros for rearmament and arming the EU cannot but be at the expense of the social spending of the countries - at the expense of mothers, pensioners, the socially disadvantaged, and this is somehow not talked about.
"These 800 billion Europe does not have. We will either have to increase taxes, but not to increase investments in the country, to improve roads, to give more funds to mothers, to have a national pediatric hospital. No. We will have to give these funds from tax increases for armaments. In addition, one of the pillars of the funds for armaments is loans that the European Union will take. But we know that the European Union is us. That is, we will return these loans".
