Anton Kutev: By September the government will fall - 1

By September the government will fall. Boyko Borisov will throw in the towel. Democracy is under threat all over the world. This was said in the program "From the Day" on BNT by Anton Kutev, spokesman for the offices of Stefan Yanev and Galab Donev, as well as a former MP from the Bulgarian Socialist Party.

Currently, internationally it is becoming very difficult to maintain democracy, because of the many wars. Centralized countries are much easier to defend and ensure their security. Internationally, democracy is beginning to retreat and this will lead to changes in many countries of the European Union, most likely in Bulgaria as well, Kutev said.

The most real threat to democracy in our country is that we have guaranteed unfair elections, as was seen from the decision of the Constitutional Court. The mechanism that I see is unlimited – it can create either 300,000 votes, or 600,000, or over 1,000,000. If we do not somehow guarantee honest elections, democracy is in serious danger and some people will take over the country. If this problem is not solved democratically, it will be solved undemocratically. Either we will find a way to solve the problem through the institutions, or people will take to the streets and fight them out of the offices, added the former BSP MP.

If we do not find a way to maintain and develop democracy in a legal way, it will happen illegally. The tension is enormous, the irritation is enormous, the question is when it will end. The dissatisfaction of civil society will explode, emphasized Anton Kutev.

He predicts that in a few months the "Zhelyazkov" will fall.

Both the BSP, "There is such a people", and GERB will lose a lot from this government. The one who can "throw in the towel" is Borisov, because he has something to lose. This depends on his calculation of when the harm from this cabinet will become greater than the benefits. My prediction is that this will happen in a few months. I believe that Borisov will give up power by the end of the year. He is not doing so at the moment because he is under pressure, in my opinion, from forces external to GERB. We will have a new government by the end of the year. August-September is the end of this government, Kutev pointed out.

GERB is happy when they are in power, but it is already obvious that Peevski's presence in power hinders everyone in the government. It remains to be seen when Borisov will decide that he is not ready to bear this burden. The relations between Borisov and Peevski are not based on values, but on dependencies. In my opinion, Borisov is dependent on Peevski and this will end the government. The dependence on Peevski will become so heavy that neither Borisov nor GERB will want to bear this burden and the government will fall apart, the socialist commented.

Anton Kutev also noted that the political forces behind the vote of no confidence against the government want to show that there is a rift in the government. This will not lead to the collapse of the government, but it will lead to a rift in the speech of those in power, Kutev said.
