The case of the deceased 12-year-old Siyana in the brutal accident in the Pleven region shook the country. Today is the first protest due to the poor condition of the roads, which will be held in front of the court building in Pleven, reports BNT.
Yesterday, the relatives of 12-year-old Siyana said goodbye to her, and the father expressed his grief on the social network, calling for a fair sentence for the driver who caused the accident. The Pleven court remanded him in custody.
On the day of the funeral, RIA teams placed warning signs for a dangerous section and limited the speed of traffic with road signs to 60 km/h. Hours later, they replaced them with a limit of 70 km/h. Against this background, the acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov yesterday ordered the investigation of the brutal accident to be taken over by the National Investigation Service.
Due to the concentration of accidents near Telish, Regional Minister Ivan Ivanov ordered an inspection of RIA and suspended the entire regional road department until the results are clarified. A new protest and road blockade are expected on Saturday in the area of the traffic accident.
