The problem of Bulgarian parties, especially those in opposition, is that they do not know what they will do on January 2, 2026. This makes them make sudden moves that speak of their helplessness of imagination.
This was commented on by political scientist Dr. Lyubomir Stefanov to BNR-Radio Sofia. And more:
"The parties have become accustomed to appearing frequently in elections and are now wondering what to fill the agenda with. The big goal of the PP-DB - entering the eurozone, will obviously end up somewhere else. They have no opportunity to influence and this makes them nervous."
According to the analyst, the claim that after the report on readiness for the eurozone there will be a serious vote of no confidence is childish behavior. "Vazrazhdane" has serious competition in parliament, the spiral of the vote of no confidence has shown that this is the ceiling of this party. "MECH" verbally enters the fray and competes in the speech of "Vazrazhdane".
"There is not one opposition, but several opposition figures. Peevski felt the ideal moment for activity. He constantly creates and builds on his image of a person who has a say and influence in the state," Stefanov added.
According to him, the horizon of people in government is a little longer than it seems. They have experience in processes. To achieve anything substantial, however, they need a government with at least two budget cycles.
According to Lyubomir Stefanov, not everything will end with entering the eurozone.
The situation is dynamic in the European plan as well.
In this sense, we can also report positive signals - we already see Bulgaria going to Brussels – with its homework done and its own ideas".
