A car overtook an unbranded police car at 170 km/h on an intercity road. The case from Sliven ended with a hefty fine and the driver's license being revoked. The chase took place in the afternoon hours of April 4, according to footage from the police car.
The patrol car was driving on the Nova Zagora-Korten road when it was overtaken. The police officers flashed their lights, but the offending driver increased the speed to 190 km/h, with the maximum speed allowed being 90. The offender was fined 3,000 leva. His driver's license was confiscated for a period of 1 year, and the car was impounded.
The police released footage of numerous extremely dangerous overtakings on the republican road network in the Sliven region.
