Greece and Bulgaria are strategic partners, building a strong axis of stability and security. This was said by President Rumen Radev in his speech at the tenth edition of the Delphic Economic Forum in Delphi, Greece.
Radev emphasized that important lessons from history show that cooperation is a much better choice than rivalries and contradictions.
This is my ninth year as president and I would say that it has never been more difficult to talk about the future. Even more so when it comes to security, the Bulgarian head of state noted. In his words, “the dynamics of geopolitical processes are gaining momentum that we have not seen before“.
According to the president, the security architecture is crumbling, long-established business models are cracking, new large-scale tariffs are shaking up markets. Stagnation has taken root in the leading European economies, he believes.
I would like to highlight some key words that reflect the ability of the European Union to meet the challenges of today, to emerge stronger tomorrow and to strengthen its role on the global stage - security, strategic autonomy, competitiveness, innovation, artificial intelligence and, above all, unity, emphasized Rumen Radev.
