A total of 73 fires have been extinguished across the country over the past 24 hours, the General Directorate of Fire Safety and Population Protection (GDPBZN) announced on its website. Firefighters responded to 110 reports of accidents. The information is current as of 6:00 this morning.
One person was injured in a fire in an apartment in the town of Kula, Vidin region. The victim is an 82-year-old man, he suffered minor burns and gassing.
18 fires with direct material damage occurred, of which 12 in residential buildings, three in vehicles and one in forest areas.
55 fires without material damage occurred, of which 14 in dry grass, forest litter and bushes, 31 in waste and others.
33 rescue activities and assistance operations were carried out, of which six in accidents in vehicles, 24 technical assistance and two to provide assistance to injured citizens.
