The Ministry of Defense announces 20 places for the next academic year in the specialty "Military Doctor". The department reports that interest in the profession is increasing, reports bTV.
With the adrenaline of a real mission, to the sounds of explosions - the training in the simulation training center of the Military Medical Academy (MMA) plays out scenarios from the battlefield.
25-year-old Lieutenant Yordan Kolev follows his adventurous spirit and thus enrolls in the specialty "Military Doctor".
The training is conducted simultaneously at the Medical University in Varna, the MMA and the Higher Naval School.
„A great calling. This is certainly for people who have big dreams, who want to develop in their lives both in medicine and in the military field“, commented Lieutenant Kolev.
Future medics under epaulette receive a monthly scholarship of up to 850 leva, with the possibility of an additional one – for success.
The training is 100% funded by the state, and the costs of accommodation, food and clothing are also covered.
A mandatory specialization follows, and a contract for work as a military doctor for 10 years is concluded.
