“The lack of a state and heartlessness killed Siyana. In all cases in which you are a victim, you fight both the abuser and the state. In fact, you always have two enemies”. This was stated to Nova TV by the editor-in-chief of the “168 Chasa” Slavi Angelov on the occasion of the thousands of protests on Saturday after the death of the 12-year-old child.
According to him, over the last 5-6 years, 55,000 Bulgarians have been killed or injured on the roads in our country. “This is war. The unwillingness to put pressure on politicians to make the necessary changes to make the state work is fatal, the investigative journalist believes.
He commented that with each subsequent tragedy, the government raises the amount of fines, but the collection rate does not remain low. Angelov does not think that the sentences are adequate. “I am afraid of what we are leaving to our children. The situation is getting worse”, the journalist is categorical.
”People may not believe that change can come about. And it comes with serious public pressure”, claims the editor-in-chief of the ”168 Chasa” newspaper.
