A director of a kindergarten in Plovdiv was fired after a 4-year-old child left alone and went home, Nova TV reported.
After the case gained popularity, the director threatened to sue the parents of the little runaway because they were tarnishing his name. They, in turn, claim that the teacher noticed his absence 40 minutes later.
Nikola left through the emergency entrance of the “MIR” kindergarten. He walked a few blocks to get to the cooperative in which he lives. At that moment, his father was on the terrace.
“And before my eyes, at the very front door, Nikola was trying to enter. We live in a complex with controlled access, the child does not know the code and was standing there”, said the father Krasimir Berberov. “He crossed several streets and the main boulevard “Koprivshtitsa”, added the mother Diana Berberova.
The child only told his father that he left because he did not want to sleep.
”It is very disturbing and unacceptable. The child left the locker room. According to his words and story, they were outside and when they were being taken away, he decided to leave because he did not want to sleep. Everything was open and he left without any worries”, added Berberova.
The kindergarten director was summoned to a meeting at the municipality, after which it became clear that he had been fired.
„I have no words - this is brutal. I got diabetes because of this case, it was very difficult. The parents overexposed everything and turned things to their advantage”, pointed out the fired director Gencho Bivolarski.
The parents also claim that in a conversation with them the director threatened to sue them for causing stress and damage. And an inspection by the Plovdiv Municipality has shown shortcomings:
„The kindergarten is not secured. The entrance door is locked with a simple reamer. People are within their rights. The director was dismissed disciplinary action, said the deputy mayor of Plovdiv Municipality Vladimir Temelkov.
Meanwhile, it became clear that there was a report of sexual harassment against the director.
