„The work of the employees of „Stolichne Autotrans“ is particularly responsible. Bus drivers are required not only to be highly professional, but also to have great patience. Let us think about the fact that the driver is also a human being, has his own limit and probably, just like us, would be happy to hear a kind word for his hard work.“
This was said by Bogdana Koleva, Head of the „Human Resources“ Department at „Stolichne Autotrans“ EAD, during the career forum „50 reasons more“. The municipal company took part in the first event of its kind aimed at professionals over the age of 50.
„The team of „Stolichne autotransport“ is aware that there is still much to be done for the decent working conditions of our employees. We are making tremendous efforts in this direction and we know that they always seem insufficient“, Koleva also said.
The forum presented the vacant positions announced by the municipal company - bus drivers, shunters, dispatchers and service workers.
Koleva also shared that a significant part of the employees at „Stolichne autotransport“ are over the age of 50.
„Experience is crucial in any profession. Especially here, where the daily commitment is the safe movement of Sofia residents and guests,“ she also said.
Bogdana Koleva recalled that this year marks the 90th anniversary of the launch of the first bus line in Sofia – on April 20, 1935, the first bus line was opened: from the “Alexander Nevski“ Cathedral to the “Orlandovtsi“ district.
“Our ambition is to make public transport the preferred means of transportation – this will be our contribution to reducing traffic. We need the cooperation of the entire society to establish relationships of trust and mutual respect between drivers and passengers. We are convinced that this way we will all feel much calmer and even more secure“, she added.
