“Save Sofia“ officially announced their divorce from Mayor Vasil Terziev and PP-DB. Unofficially for months, PP, DB, the administration and “Save Sofia“ had been in a quiet war and were screwing each other. The end was clear. The results for a year and a half of government are visible. Boris Bonev and “Save Sofia“ bear significant blame for this chaos personally. The failures began from day one of this government.
Boris Bonev loves to talk about reforms and responsibility, but all their reforms so far have caused chaos in transport, and the “saviors“ have not taken responsibility for all the stupid things they have done. Now they say “Terziev is bad, we are good“. Terziev, that he is not coping is obvious, but weren't Bonev personally, their deputy mayor for transport and “Save Sofia“ complicit. Should we recall the fiasco with Vitoshka and Patriarch, and with Opalchenska, and the delay on Copenhagen Blvd., and the dirt on the streets?
“Save Sofia“ is already criticizing Terziev on topics that we from VMRO have been warning about for a year and a half that a pogrom is coming. Does “Save Sofia“ rank alongside VMRO as a serious opposition to the mayor and PP-DB? If so, why did they lie for a year and a half and accuse me as a municipal councilor from VMRO and VMRO - as a political force, of having sabotaged? When did “Save Sofia” Are they telling the truth - now or for a whole year and a half, when they were defending all the nonsense?
In fact, the “saviors of Sofia“ gave themselves away. I quote: “People expected change, but they got a replacement. We can no longer lie to Sofia residents“. Indeed, Sofia residents got a replacement, something I warned about during the election campaign. We saw the potential in all sectors, including transport and the Sofia Inspectorate, managed by “Save Sofia“. It is good that Bonev has admitted that he has lied to Sofia residents so far.
From “Save Sofia“ would they be a constructive opposition!? You have to be a heavy buffoon to declare yourself the opposition to your own government. We remember what talk was during the mayoral elections in October 2023. They were visions, they were reforms, it was a miracle. After the elections, Sofia received only chaos, the flag of which is the illegal stakes on Vitosha Blvd. and Patriarch Evtimiy Blvd.
I expect Terziev to release all the staff of "Save Sofia" from the administration. I insist that he throw out all the ladybugs that Bonev and company shook to govern us. He can start with the director of the Sofia Inspectorate and the "Transport" Directorate. If he didn't do it - then he continues to be complicit with these madmen.
After "Save Sofia" betrayed its coalition partners and the mayor, the turbulence in the capital's administration is intensifying. It is right that Terziev sits at the table with all the political forces and finds a formula for how to make five-six-ten things happen for Sofia. Otherwise, the city will turn into a big ghetto at the end of the mandate. PP-DB also needs to humble themselves, because in a year and a half they have proven that they cannot do it alone. Let's see if there will still be a manifestation of political and managerial wisdom.
Sofia does not deserve to suffer because of dishonest politicians with big egos and zero coverage.
