„This is the turning point, the split between „Save Sofia“ and PP-DB in the Sofia Municipality. It becomes a problem to form a majority and to adopt the budget.“ This is what the municipal councilor from „Blue Sofia“ Vili Lilkov said.
According to him, there is no leader in the Sofia Municipal Council
„There are several ways from this moment of fragmentation of the municipal council. There are no more than two or three options. Either everyone acts as an opposition, or the other option is to unite around certain policies and form a majority that can declare - Here we accept these 15-20, which we will solve in this way and start the work, because at the moment "There is a lack of leadership in the Municipal Council," Lilkov said.
The collapse of the largest coalition in the Sofia Municipality occurred two days ago. "Save Sofia" also removed its trust from Mayor Vasil Terziev. Terziev replied that citizens expect actions that will actually improve their lives, not political demonstrations.
Non-compliance with the coalition agreement and illogical appointments. According to "Save Sofia" over the past year, the mayor has been working for personal gain instead of working for the city.
Terziev said that Boris Bonev and "Save Sofia" have started a campaign and are preparing for elections.
Villi Lilkov added that this is the first time there has been such a situation in Sofia Municipality, that there is no majority.
He believes that it is very important how the capital's budget will be adopted.
