There has been a decrease in fatal occupational accidents from 87 in 2023 to 64 last year, but in some industries - construction, metal production, trade and chemical production - the high percentage remains.
The union is demanding urgent action to protect workers, who are too often forced to choose between their health and their livelihood, BNR reports.
