"Save Sofia" sees no reason to support the budget proposals by Sofia Mayor Vasil Terziev. This was announced in an interview with News.bg by municipal councilor from the Stefan Spasov formation.
In his opinion, the budget is not good. That is why the group of "Save Sofia" in SOS will insist on a meeting with the other formations in the capital's parliament to discuss which are the priority areas for Sofia that need to be financed.
On the issue of the separation from PP-DB, Spasov points out that "Save Sofia" will work on common priorities such as infrastructure development, parking, and the construction of kindergartens. The party will be critical, however, on topics where the municipality lacks ambition. "We have missed too much time since the beginning of the mandate", said the municipal councilor.
Stefan Spasov also wants a solution to the problems of "Toplofikatsiya Sofia" and the losses that the company is suffering. He insists on a detailed technical audit of the capital's heating system, which would show where the weak links are and investments should be made there as a priority. "Our money is literally going down the drain", said the municipal councilor. Spasov has no answer why important priorities of the capital are not being implemented.
"Save Sofia" does not trust arch. Bogdana Panayotova not only because of the project for the skyscraper on Cherni Vrah Blvd., but because of her overall activity. The withdrawal of trust from Vasil Terziev, according to him, is the necessary decision. "We did not enter the coalition with PP-DB to hear excuses about how difficult it is", explained the municipal councilor.
"Save Sofia" sees a reasonable assumption that Taki and Delyan Peevski have an interest in Sofia. "The interests of these people are where the money is", emphasized Stefan Spasov and explained that the budget of the Sofia Municipality is nearly 3 billion leva.
