The Day of Bravery and the Bulgarian Army Day on May 6th will be marked with the blessing of battle flags and sacred flags and a military parade. The Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov, the Chief of Defense Admiral Emil Eftimov, and senior officers of the Bulgarian Army will participate in the rituals on the occasion of the holiday. The President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev, representatives of the National Assembly, the Council of Ministers, the Diplomatic Corps, and the military-patriotic unions have been invited to attend.

The blessing of battle flags and sacred flags will begin at 9:00 a.m. in front of the Monument to the Unknown Soldier in Sofia. The National Guard Unit and the Guard Representative Brass Band will participate in the ritual. As a sign of gratitude to the Bulgarian soldiers who died for the freedom of Bulgaria, wreaths and flowers will be laid in front of the monument to the Unknown Soldier.

Over 700 servicemen in 8 representative units from the National Guard Unit, the Ground Forces, the Second Mechanized Brigade, the Air Force, the Navy, the Joint Special Operations Command, the National Military University "Vasil Levski" and the Higher Naval School "N. Y. Vaptsarov" will participate in the military parade on the holiday day at "Knyaz Alexander the First" Square in the capital. The Guards Representative Brass Band with the Brass Band of the Land Forces, as well as a flag platoon of the National Guard Unit with the flags of the holy places will also participate in the parade. At the beginning of the military parade, a Mi-17 helicopter carrying the national flag of the Republic of Bulgaria and two AS-532 AL "Cougar" helicopters will fly over the "Knyaz Alexander the First" square.

During the performance of the national anthem during the parade, 20 artillery salutes will be fired.

The commander of the parade will be the commander of the Joint Special Operations Command, Brigadier General Bozhidar Boykov.

At 12:00 p.m. in front of the building of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, a ceremonial changing of the guard of honor will be held.

On the eve of the holiday, on May 5 at 9:00 p.m., there will be a festive fireworks display in Sofia.

As is tradition, on the holiday, May 6, the National Museum of Military History will operate with free admission. Residents and guests of the capital will be able to view the museum's exhibitions, and from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. to attend the concert of the Representative Brass Band of the Land Forces.

On the occasion of the Day of Bravery and the holiday of the Bulgarian Army, the Information Center of the Ministry of Defense organizes a photographic exhibition under the title "The Bulgarian Army through the Eyes of Military Reporters", which shows emblematic moments from the life of the armed forces, captured by the lens of the reporters of the Military Television Channel and the newspaper "Bulgarian Army". From 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on May 6, 2025, the exhibition will be presented in the open space in front of the building of the Information Center of the Ministry of Defense on "G.S. Rakovski" Str. No. 106.

The Day of Bravery and the Bulgarian Army Holiday will also be celebrated in all garrisons in the country.

In connection with the preparation and holding of the military parade on the occasion of the celebration of the Day of Bravery and the Bulgarian Army Holiday, from May 4 to 6, 2025, helicopters from the Air Force will perform low-altitude flights over the city of Sofia, "Knyaz Alexander I" Square, on dates and in time windows, as follows:

- on May 4, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.;

- on May 5, 2025 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (reserve hours from 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.);

- on May 6, 2023 from 10:20 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

For security reasons, it is not desirable for citizens to use unmanned aerial vehicles during these time windows on the specified dates.
