The Speaker of the National Assembly Natalia Kiselova will participate in the solemn celebration of the 149th anniversary of the April Uprising in Koprivshtitsa, and later in the day she will be an official guest at the celebrations in Panagyurishte.
This was announced by the press center of the parliament, quoted by BTA.
In the morning, Natalia Kiselova will lay flowers on the grave of the legendary Bulgarian revolutionary Todor Kableshkov in the courtyard of the church “Assumption of the Virgin“. Later, she will participate in the official ceremony in front of the Monument-ossuary of the April Uprising on the “April 20” Square in Koprivshtitsa.
After that, the Speaker of the Parliament will accept the honorary formation of the representative companies from the Asenovgrad garrison at the National Dawn Rally on the “April 20” Square in Panagyurishte. She will deliver a speech on the occasion of the anniversary.
The courage of the April Uprising, their self-sacrifice and faith oblige us to follow their great testament and always uphold the justice, freedom, dignity and honor of Bulgaria, said yesterday the Speaker of the National Assembly Natalia Kiselova in her speech on the occasion of the 149th anniversary of the April Uprising in Koprivshtitsa. Kiselova accepted the report of the commander of the ceremonial dawn inspection and greeted the representative companies of the Karlovy Vary garrison on the "April 20" square. Our ancestors showed us that freedom is won with courage, audacity and reason, that freedom is a priceless gift, which we defend every day with valor, wisdom and unity, said the Speaker of the National Assembly. Therefore, to this day we bear the heavy responsibility to be worthy of their enormous sacrifice, emphasized Natalia Kiselova.
