The annual gross rental yield in Bulgaria is 4.65%, according to a study by the company 1st Move International. This puts our country in 8th place in the ranking of the best countries for real estate investments.
In general, the countries of Central and Eastern Europe occupy the leading positions. This includes Lithuania and Hungary. For example, the average rental yield in Vilnius is 6.44% and puts Lithuania in first place in the ranking. The second position is for Estonia, which attracts with low costs of buying a property – 1.3% of the transaction price. The rental yield is 4.5%. Neighboring Romania also enters the top three. Purchase costs are also quite low and the rental yield is 6.46%.
In our country, the average rental yield is 4.65%. Income tax is 10%, which together with Romania is the lowest rate in Europe. Since 2015, the number of employees in our country has increased by 133%, according to the data of the consulting company.
Hungary, Slovenia and Poland are the other countries with good opportunities for real estate investment. At the other end of the ranking are Belgium, France and Greece. It is the most unfavorable place to invest in real estate.
