The architect of the “Serdika II” – Prof. Bozhidar Bozhinov died. He led the station's construction team. He was the honorary chairman of the Bulgarian Association for Geotechnical and Tunnel Construction and a doyen in the design of geotechnical projects.
Prof. Bozhinov has over 60 years of experience in the field of geotechnics. He is the holder of an honorary doctorate of the Academy of Medical Sciences and of the order "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" first degree for the development of education, science and construction in Bulgaria. He was also awarded a medal for merits related to the construction of the Sofia metro, an honorary citizen of the city of Sofia.
Prof. Bozhinov graduated from the UASG and was the vice-rector of the University of Mining and Geology.
The worship before Prof. Bozhinov will be on November 20 at 12:00 in the ritual hall and church of the cemetery park "St. Archangel Michael" (private cemetery park "Boyana").
