"Why are engineering contracts detrimental to the public interest?" is the topic of today's press conference, organized by the Chamber of Architects in Bulgaria. The reason for it is the announced public contracts for engineering of two emblematic schools in Plovdiv – MG “Academic Kiril Popov“ and SU “St. Patriarch Euthymius“.
In recent months, the Metropolitan Municipality and the Municipality of Burgas have also announced a number of procedures for the implementation of public buildings, which put at risk the quality implementation of the sites.
The Chamber of Architects in Bulgaria (CAB) maintains the position that engineering is not suitable for the implementation of significant public buildings, as it does not lead to good results and increases the cost of construction many times over at the expense of taxpayers.
