In the fourth quarter of 2024, the trend of building more 2-room apartments continues, according to data from the National Statistical Institute. Of all new housing construction, this type of property accounts for 39%. This is followed by apartments with 3 rooms - 31%. The percentage of multi-room apartments remains the lowest - only 5.5%.
The number of residential buildings put into operation during the period under review is close to 1,380. Nearly 5,200 residential units have been built in them.
Investors are betting on reinforced concrete structures - 78%, and on bricks - 18%.
Examining the data on an annual basis, in the last three months of last year there was a decline in both the number of buildings and the number of apartments in them. In the period October-December, nearly 1,530 buildings with 6,350 apartments were built.
Construction remains the most intensive in Sofia, where in the last 3 months of last year, 190 buildings with 1,566 apartments were put into operation. Second place is for Plovdiv. There, 182 buildings with 521 apartments were put into operation.
