The prosecutor's office in Stara Zagora has charged and detained a 28-year-old man for intentional murder in Kazanlak, the state prosecution announced. The act was committed on December 28 in the local neighborhood "Kazmera" against a 65-year-old man, the defendant's grandfather.
On the specified date, a signal was sent to an emergency phone that S.M., 65, had died at his home in the Kazanlak neighborhood. Police officers and medical teams who arrived at the scene found that the victim's body bore signs of a beating.
The medical report made it clear that the man's death occurred as a result of intentionally inflicted bodily harm - craniocerebral and chest trauma.
A pre-trial investigation was initiated into the case under the supervision of the District Prosecutor's Office in Stara Zagora, and it was established that the perpetrator of the act was S.M., 28, who is the grandson of the deceased. He was detained for up to 72 hours by order of the supervising prosecutor.
